ROCKINGHAM Beach Education Support Centre is a finalist in the WA Education Awards.
The school is vying for the title of WA Primary School of the Year.
Principal Margaret Keen said she put forward a nomination for the awards to acknowledge the extraordinary people she works with.
“They have a passion for ensuring each and every child has the very best opportunity to achieve their potential,” she said.
“Our school community – students, staff and parents – are truly wonderful and deserving of the recognition this award gives to their dedication to the children in our school.”
Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery said the awards are a fantastic way for the community to celebrate top public educators and the difference they make to the lives of students every day.
“I am delighted to acknowledge the high performance and dedication of staff in public schools across the state,” she said.
“By continually providing a high-quality education, they are empowering young people to become confident, resilient and well-rounded individuals who have the opportunity to achieve success in their adult lives.”
