In 2013, my husband, our two young boys and I packed up our lives in central Gippsland in Victoria. I quit my job organising WorkHealth Checks and we moved across the country to settle here in Rockingham, following my husband’s employment opportunities. It was not long after we arrived that my eldest child started kindy at Rockingham Beach Primary School and I discovered that I had a passion and enthusiasm for children’s education and welfare and quickly threw myself into becoming a positive member of the school community. In early 2014, I volunteered to be a part of the Kidsmatter committee and I am the newest member of the school board.
With both of my children now in school I am studying with the aim to one day be employed in the education system. I enjoy camping, playing with my kids and reading. I also have a habit of talking too loud when I become excited.
