I am one of the Deputy Principal’s of Rockingham Beach Primary School. I am a passionate educator and continue to build my professional capacity in leadership and learning through ongoing research and professional learning.
I completed my Diploma of Education in 1987 at Churchlands College of Advanced Education. My first appointment was at Fairview Primary school in Collie in 1988. My first teaching role provided me with a wide range of experiences as I was the Senior Support teacher and provided Admin relief in Year 6/7 and Year 3. From Fairview Primary School, I moved to Rockingham Beach. I completed my Bachelor of Education in 1992, specialising in Students with Special Needs. During my time at Rockingham Beach Primary School, I have taught students from Pre-Primary to Year Seven, and have taken on the roles of “Getting It Right Literacy” Specialist, Learning Support Co-ordinator, and Deputy Principal. I have also completed Classroom Management Instructional Strategies (CMiS) Levels 1 and 2 and have trained as a Conferencing Accredited Trainer. I have also completed the Train the Trainer course enabling me to train Education Assistants in CMiS skills.
Rockingham Beach Primary Campus is a great community to work in. The dedicated team works hard to develop partnerships with all members of the community and considers the needs of the whole child in everything that we do.
