Medication at School
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, any medication required to be administered at school must meet the following requirements:
- Medication must be provided in its original container or packaging.
- It must have a current pharmacist’s label clearly showing the student’s name and the prescribed dosage.
- All medication must be signed in by a responsible adult at the school office, and the required medical authorisation forms must be completed.
- Any changes to a student’s medication must be communicated in writing by a responsible adult, clearly stating the date the change takes effect and the new dosage instructions.
The school is unable to administer medication unless all of the above requirements are met.
